Anna Nalter was born in Tyrol, Austria, in 2000. At the age of eight, she received her first saxophone lessons at the “Landesmusikschule Wipptal”. After graduating from high school, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in “Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy Saxophone” at the Mozarteum Innsbruck in the class of Michael Krenn<\/strong>, and her diploma degree in “Konzertfach Saxophon” at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Since autumn 2025, she has been studying for her Master’s in Saxophone<\/strong> at the Zurich University of the Arts with Lars Mlekusch<\/strong>. In addition to the saxophone, the cello<\/strong> is also a formative part of her musical career. She completed this as her “Schwerpunktfach” during her bachelor\u2019s studies with Floris Mijnders and Ursina Maria Braun. She is currently studying cello as a “Nebenfach” at ZHdK with Christian Proske.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The saxophonist is a member of the “Z\u00fcrich Saxophone Collective” and the “Sinfonisches Blasorchester Tirol”. She also regularly plays as a substitute in the “Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck” and has performed with the “Ensemble Windkraft” at the Vienna Konzerthaus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young musician has attended numerous masterclasses<\/strong> with Arno Bornkamp, Nicolas Arsenijevic, Christian Wirth, Joonatan Rautiola, Vincent David, Valentine Michaud, Nikita Zimin, Lars Niederstrasser, Eva van Grinsven, among others, and has performed at various festivals<\/strong> such as “Klangspuren Schwaz”, “Alpenclassica Saxfest”, “Osterfestival Tirol” or “Zurich Saxfest”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
